Our Story
Lux Wellbeing is a health and wellness organisation based in Western Australia.
Born as Spectrum Yoga, the organisation was founded by Amelia Ross in 2015. During our 10 years of operation, we have delivered services in various outdoor locations, sports clubs, gymnasiums and hospitality based environments.
The origin of LUX means “light”. Spiritual practices such as yoga can involve a competent of what is known as “light work”.
Amelia, our founder, has also taught yoga for several local studios, corporate entities and schools and through many West Australian tertiary institutions, such as UWA, Curtin & The University of Notre Dame. As Spectrum Yoga evolved into an all-encompassing health service, a re-birth was in order - hence we became Lux Wellbeing.
Combining the rational and traditional training of Health Science with the spiritual influence of manifestation and positive psychology, Amelia uses an integrated approach in her health coaching methods.
Amelia has completed studies in Health Promotion and Commerce and Marketing which inform her competency as a health and wellness coach. With experience working as a professional Community Mental Health Care worker, she is passionate about inspiring others to lead their healthiest and most vibrant lives, empowering people to achieved their goals.
Amelia has been an active yoga practitioner for 14 years and has been teaching for 7 years. She is a qualified teacher in Vinyasa Yoga and Children’s Yoga. With an emphasis on breathing techniques, physical asana and meditation, Amelia teaches Vinyasa yoga to promote both physical and mental well-being. Amelia also offers corporate yoga classes and small group and private tuition. She incorporates music into her classes and will provide props and mats on request.
